VA_29We went to Corsica and stayed in a place called Club Med.

I went to Mini Club everyday. I met a new friend, Olivia, from Sweden [the two were glued to the hip! ~ The Dad].

Here’s what my day looked like:

  • Wake up at 8:00am & get dressed
  • Eat breakfast. Usually crêpe pancakes or eggs. I loved it!
  • Check into Mini Club. Usually my dad would take me.
  • Go sailing or kayaking or play tennis or archery
  • Go to the pool
  • Take a break for lunch. Sometimes my dad would come get me so I could eat with my family.
  • Go back to the pool
  • Have a snack break
  • Do some “special event”. One day I made a sand castle!
  • Go back to my room so I could shower and rest and watch TV
  • Eat dinner

Every night there was a show after dinner. There would be dancing or singing.

The funniest was when this guy pretended to get his hand stuck in a DVD player. Everyone spoke French but it was funny anyways.

ps. My dad did boring stuff like read books. He read four books. How boring!

(On the way to breakfast at Ladurée, Layli finally got to see my favorite bridge in Paris. ~ The Dad)

“Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by.” – Robert Frost

We went to this bridge that had a side with locks. You add them to the fence when you love somebody and you know you will never not love them.

This is  how it works:

  1. You buy a lock
  2. Write your names on it
  3. Put it somewhere nice
  4. “Lock up your love” by locking it on the fence
  5. Throw the key in the river so you never unlock your love

My mom and dad wanted to take pictures but I did not want to be in any of them at all.

William took a picture of my mom and dad. I was in the way of it and William took a picture of me with my face in my dad’s big belly! I did not like that one at all.

Would you like that picture if you were in it? I bet you would not like to be in a picture like that when you had your face in your dad’s big belly.

My mom, my grandma and I  went to the Le Galeries Lafayette mall. There was a lot of people at the mall. That means I had to hold on to somebody’s hand.

We went to look at shoes. There was also one floor that only had kid stuff. So we went to that floor. Look at all the cute we looked at even though we did not buy anything!

[This is a special three-author post. The Dad had an opportunity to visit before the other shoes arrived.]

Pyramid at the LourveI’ve been to Paris many times.  I’ve walked around the Louvre Palace and the Pyramid.  I’ve imagined Robert Langdon discovering that the Grail is buried under La Pyramide Inversée.

But I’ve never been inside the Louvre.

I had the opportunity to visit the Louvre with someone who studied art history.

Four hours and 37,228 steps later we were both out of energy.

Winged Victory

Naked Aphrodite!

We went to the museum. We saw lots of nice things like a picture of Mona Lisa and Winged Victory [Winged Victory of Samothrace]. There was a section for everything. My favorite sections where the Egyptian and Persian sections.

The museum that we went to was okay. It’s also kind of cool because all the statues and things were real. There were mostly naked statues so that was boring. Then we left and had hamburgers for dinner and then we came home and started typing this.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” ~ Lao-tzu

We are in Paris!Wow! We are in Paris!

Did you know I got to visit Canada for the very first time? We flew from California to Toronto and then to Paris.

I colored, I watched a movie, I watched a TV show, I napped, I ate pizza and a hamburger and spaghetti. Just before landing in Paris we had turbulence and I had to sit down.

My brother barely slept on the plane (he’s napping right now). My dad met us at the airport and we took two trains to get to our apartment in Le Marais.

I’m starving.  I can’t wait to go find a fresh croissant to eat!

A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step…all you need is a small suitcase.

Today is the most boring day of my life. All we did was pack for the vacation. Seriously. It was so boring walking back and forth the whole time getting stuff.

But I was excited because I knew packing would mean we will be going on our trip soon! Look at all the stuff we packed!

Yes, we are blessed with a certain mom and we are packed a full 15 days before we leave.

There’s no journey that doesn’t change you somehow.

our feet.

My brother and I will soon leave on our fourth international flight, our second to Europe.

William and I have our own cameras so we can take our own pictures for our blog. My camera is pink. William’s is blue. You can see all the things we are going to do this summer.
